A report in the Chicago Sun-Times--as well as multiple others sources--suggests Terry Francona will no longer be the manager of the Red Sox as of later today.
Several quotes from yesterday's cryptic news conference made it appear that Tito wanted out on his own terms.
The same reports suggest the White Sox want Francona to take the vacant Chicago job, while the Cubs are hot on the trail of Red Sox GM Theo Epstein.
