Dalton Jones Rises 1.5 Points

FenwayNation's Dalton Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) experienced a modest rise in August—increasing 1.5 points to 100.9. The rise in the Index was fueled by a 6-point jump in confidence with the team's starting pitching. Confidence in relief pitching and defense showed gains as well—3.6 and 0.5 points, respectively. Ironically, confidence in the team's high-powered offense actually dropped in August—shedding 5.6 points. However, even with this drop, offense is still the best rated metric of the four (83.0).

The DJIA composite index is made up of confidence readings for four key metrics: starting pitching, relief pitching, overall offense and overall defense from a select panel of 50 FN readers from around the world. You can see the scores for each of the metrics HERE.
