According to a report in the New York Times, the
Red Sox are still among the teams mentioned in the hunt for hot-hitting Mets shortstop Jose Reyes. While Jed Lowrie has performed brilliantly (at least offensively) in the absence of Marco Scutaro, the Sox may be looking to upgrade to super-star status at SS—at least for the balance of this year. Reyes becomes a free agent at the end of 2011—and Jose Iglesias may be ready for 2012.
