Adrian Gonzalez was at Mass. General today passing his mandatory physical, and now the Sox and his agent John Boggs are on the clock to work out a contract extension. The sides have until 2PM Eastern tomorrow (Sunday, December 5th) to work out a long-term deal that could go 6-8 years. The 28 year-old is under contract for a little over $6 million in 2011. Expect the ultimate deal to be the biggest ever commitment by the Red Sox to any player.
