It took a while, but the Red Sox are now reportedly talking to the representatives of Carl Crawford, Adrian Beltre and Jayson Werth. Looks like Tom Werner's assertion that we would land a top free agent is winning out. Of course, until they consummate something, the off-season angst level will still be elevated.
